The food at this restaurant was very good. I ordered take out. There was an array of selections to choose including Japanese cuisine with a full range of appetizers, and sushi including sashimi, hand rolls, etc. They also had a substantial selection of authentic Chinese dishes to choose from. I ordered Hot & Spicy Chicken which is a stir fry with Green peppers, Scallions, Jalapeños in a Hot chili sauce. It was spicy & the chicken & veggies were perfectly cooked. I also ordered the Chow Fun (wide flat noodles) with Chicken. It is a stir fry with egg, garlic & bean sprouts. It almost has a very slight roasted flavor to it). Both portions were generous. You could easily share both entrees among 3 adults & everyone would have enough. I ordered take out so I can't vouch for the wait service. But my take out order was ready 15 mins after calling it in & it was piping hot when I arrived home. They included plastic dinnerware, duck & soy sauce & napkins in the takeout order.
Asian River is a full service restaurant. The interior is decorated nicely with lacquer tables, Chairs, & Chinese wall art & plants. When I picked up the order, the staff was very nice & pleasant. It was also very clean. It had a very relaxing, quiet, easy going, professional vibe. I did not notice any music piped overhead.
The restaurant is situated in the Kroger Shopping complex. It is in a mini strip mall in front of Dick's Sporting Goods & next to Jason's Deli.
I thoroughly enjoyed both entrees. I would absolutely patronize this restaurant again.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!

One of the better authentic Chinese restaurants. Dishes tend to be on the oily side, but in China I was told it was a sign of wealth to be liberal with it (back in the day)so you can eat like royalty here! I often order the Hunan Chicken with, you guessed it, chili oil and a nice assortment of veggies. The string beans are nice and crisp with a sate sauce that might not appeal to everyone. The flash fried calamari is a banquet staple and probably the best in the area, but I am not crazy about their batter. I also wasn't a fan of the lamb because it was drenched in sauce. The waitress highly recommended the fish hot pot that is for larger parties.
I used to avoid this place when it was a buffet, but now it has a regular menu. It recently added an all you can eat sushi option, which I have never tried. -

Ok so they have an awesome sushi lunch special! It is two rolls and a soup or salad for only $10. Sounds awesome right? Well the sushi is subpar. We got the dynamite roll which was actually amazing but the other three rolls we split were honestly kind of gross. The meat was either cold or room temperature when it was supposed to be warm. Just overall great deal but you definitely get what you pay for here. Just a heads up for anyone going.

We visited Asian River because my daughter wanted her favorite food, Sushi. Today was my third visit and as expected I enjoyed my visit to Asian River. The hostess seated my party of 3 immediately. The server arrived shortly after we were seated. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu, making several suggestions. The food is priced well / affordable, presentation was good and the taste was even better. Asian River has a good decor and a clean atmosphere.

What distinguishes this place from other Chinese restaurants in town is that they do over some authentic specials. My favorite is Volcano Beef. I give four instead of five stars because I find about one time out of five, the same food can taste slightly different and less perfect.
Updates: We go there frequently. Yet I'm getting frustrated at the fluctuation of the food quality and quantity. It's still one of my favorite restaurants but they really need to implement some quality control of the dishes.
